Edit Color Scheme

At the bottom of the "Welcome" page, click on the "Edit Colors" button.

A new browser window similar to the one below will appear.

With this color picker you can work with HSV or RGB color spaces.  HSV is Hue, Saturation and Value (brightness).  RGB is Red, Green, Blue.

There are four ways to set the H (hue).

The quickest is to hold your cursor over the vertical spectrum bar.  Notice that the cursor changes to a cross-hair.  Position it over the hue you want and click the mouse button.  Do not attempt to move the triangular pointer -- that is not an option.

In the second method, you can simply type in a degree value (0 thru 360) into the H Box.
Clicking the "+" button next to the "H" will increase the value in the "H Box" by 10.
Clicking the "-" button next to the "H" will decrease the value in the "H Box" by 10.
Lastly you can type in the RGB values (Red, Green, Blue) directly into the boxes.  These values are in the range of 0 to 255.
There are several ways to set the S (Saturation) and V (Brightness).

The quickest is to hold your cursor over the gradiant grid.  Notice that the cursor changes to a cross-hair.  Position it over the Saturation and Brightness you want and click the mouse button.  Do not attempt to move the circular pointer -- that is not an option.

In the second method:
You can simply type in a Saturation value (0 thru 100 %) into the S Box.
You can then type in a Brightness value (0 thru 100 %) into the V Box.
Clicking the "+" button next to the "S" will increase the value in the "S Box" by 4.
Clicking the "-" button next to the "S" will decrease the value in the "S Box" by 4.

Clicking the "+" button next to the "V" will increase the value in the "V Box" by 4.
Clicking the "-" button next to the "V" will decrease the value in the "V Box" by 4.

You will be presented with a pallete of 8 colors.  An eZ_Web page uses 6 (3 lights, 1 medium, and 2 darks).  Eliminate two colors by removing the check box.  If there is one color you like but you are not pleased with the scheme, click on it to promote it to the base color.
When you find a scheme you like, write down the hex code in the base color (large box) in case you want to get back to this point.  Then click on the "Save" button.

The Window will close bringing you back to your Web page.

To see the color scheme changes, click on the "Refresh" or "Reload" button icon on your browser's tool bar.
